This year there were two places available for new staffmembers. We had a lot of good applications of very enthusiastic people. We had to make a choice and decided to take Eva Trapman and Rinke van Diermen with us in our team for the camp of 2010. We welcome them and we are looking forward to work together with them in this group.
Now the staff exists of Wouter ten Böhmer, Brechtje Halbertsma, Imre Ploeg, Laura Ffrench, Eva Trapman, Johannes van der Meijden, Emma Ffrench, Diederik ten Böhmer, Rinke van Diermen, Caspar van der Zanden, Rosanne Schenk and Jorinde van der Meijden. And Malcolm Allsop is going to join us as the priest.
We are now, with a team of 13 people, busy with organising a new fantastic camp. At the moment we are dividing the functions and are thinking about the theme of the coming camp.

International Youth Camp

The IYCamp is one of the most exciting camps among the many Christian Community summer camps all over the world. Our first camp took place in the summer of 1990.
The aim of the IYCamp is to bring together young people of various nationalities and with different cultural identities. The Camp's main purpose is to create a community where there is time and space for sharing profound ideas and essential experiences, as well as allowing time for fun.

One of the camp's hallmarks is that it takes place in a natural environment on a rather remote location, far away from “civilisation”, and at a different location in Europe every year.

During the camp their will be a day programme containing sports, singing, workshops, an open stage, and a communal close of day.
The week programme will consist of a four day hike and of organising and preparing a choir concert for the people of the nearby village. The workshops will be concluded by a performance to be staged during the social evening, held at the end of the camp.

The general theme will guide us through the camp in a philosophical, practical and spiritual way. There will be theme evenings, but the theme will also return in the workshops and discussion groups.

The common language during the camp is English.
